This 3 day course is designed to instruct therapists in the administration and scoring of the Physical Work Performance Evaluation (PWPE). The PWPE is a functional capacity evaluation that has been tested for reliability and validity. The test is used in determining the physical work abilities of an injured worker, in prescribing treatment for work-hardening or work-conditioning of the injured worker and, in post-offer screening. The course will involve lectures, videotapes, patient case examples and hands on practice with administering and scoring the performance of two patients. Upon completion of the course, participants will be certified to administer the Physical Work Performance Evaluation.
