Complications in Grief and Quest for Meaning

Synonym(s):

26-28 July 2021

The 3-day training will consider newer models of grieving, drawing on attachment, trauma and meaning reconstruction. It sets the stage for participants to review how complications may manifest in the aftermath of a significant loss. The possible risk factors leading to such complications as well as relevant assessment tools to identify such complications will also be covered in this course.

Participants will get to learn about several therapeutic tools, with how-to guidelines provided, to help clients reconstruct their bond to their deceased significant one while they embrace a changed future. There will be brief discussions on grief and loss issues in both terminal illness contexts and family dynamics as well.
