Effective communication is at the heart of patient-centred care. This course provides practical strategies for enhancing patient motivation, improving adherence, and navigating challenging conversations with confidence and empathy. Participants will strengthen their skills in managing difficult interactions, delivering sensitive information, and supporting patients and colleagues through complex healthcare decisions.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:​

  • Apply evidence-based strategies to improve patientmotivation, adherence, and self-management.​
  • Navigate emotionally charged conversations withempathy and structure, including delivering difficultnews and addressing concerns.​
  • Respond to conflict or resistance – whether with patients or colleagues – using effective communication and de-escalation techniques.​
