INTRODUCTION

Conflict and challenging behaviours are inevitable in any workplace – but they don't have to derail morale, productivity, or relationships. This two half-day interactive course equips participants with practical strategies to navigate conflict, de-escalate tense situations, and respond to challenging behaviours with confidence, clarity, and compassion. Grounded in evidence-based communication techniques, participants will explore the underlying dynamics of workplace conflict and gain tools to foster psychological safety, accountability, and collaboration.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Recognise common causes of conflict and challenging behaviours in the workplace, and their impact on teams and outcomes.
2. Apply evidence-informed techniques to manage difficult interactions and de-escalate high-stress situations constructively.
3. Strengthen communication skills to foster mutual understanding, resolve disagreements, and uphold professional boundaries.
