Management of Dysphagia using Telehealth Course

Synonym(s):

15 January 2027 (Friday)

Telehealth is increasingly used to improve access to dysphagia care, but its implementation requires clinicians to adapt traditional assessment and management approaches to a virtual environment. This interactive one-day practical course equips speech therapists and other healthcare professionals involved in delivering or facilitating dysphagia telehealth services with the knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective care. Participants will learn to identify suitable candidates, optimise the equipment and environment, support patients and caregivers, evaluate swallowing without conventional hands-on methods, and manage potential clinical and technical risks. Drawing on current evidence and Singapore General Hospital’s service experience, the course integrates practical protocols, case discussions and hands-on activities to support person-centred, technology-enabled dysphagia care.
