Hands On Shoulder Ultrasound – Building Skills from Basic to Beyond

Shoulder disorders are among the most common musculoskeletal conditions encountered in clinical practice. Ultrasound plays a vital role in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of these conditions.

This course is designed to equip participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform a systematic ultrasound assessment of the shoulder. Emphasis is placed on small group, hands-on scanning sessions, allowing participants to develop scanning proficiency in a supportive and supervised environment.

This course aims to enable participants to:

  • Apply knowledge of basic ultrasound physics and knobology
  • Identify normal sonoanatomy of the shoulder
  • Perform a systematic shoulder ultrasound examination using correct technique and positioning
  • Recognise sonographic appearances of common pathologies of the shoulder
