Katherine Soh is the Deputy Director at the Office for Service Transformation, Division of Innovation & Transformation, SingHealth. With over 30 years of leadership experience spanning nursing, regulatory policy and healthcare transformation, she has contributed extensively to shaping national healthcare systems and advancing patient‑centred models of care. At SingHealth, she leads key initiatives including the Virtual Professional Consultation (VPC) programme and Singapore’s first National Genomic Assessment Centre (GAC). Through VPC, Katherine brings together primary care clinicians and public healthcare specialists to enable timely expert input and strengthen cross‑setting collaboration. In parallel, she oversees the development of the GAC, working with clinicians, genetic counsellors, Synapxe, MOH and cross‑cluster partners to build future‑ready genomic services. The team broke new ground in care delivery by introducing digital consenting, the first in clinical practice in Singapore. Before joining SingHealth, Katherine held senior roles at the Ministry of Health, where she drove national policies, implemented the Human Biomedical Research Act, strengthened healthcare regulation and played a key role during Singapore’s COVID‑19 operations, including vaccination and contact tracing.A Public Service Commission Scholar, published author and educator, she has received multiple national‑level awards recognising her contributions to Singapore’s healthcare system. Through unified digital workflows and collaborative care models, the centre enhances early FH detection and supports timely risk-reducing interventions. The presentation highlights key design principles, implementation challenges, and early outcomes, offering a scalable blueprint for genomic-enabled cardiovascular care. |
