Objective

  • Build clinical experience in the management of critically ill patients as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Design evidence-based therapeutic regimens and monitoring plans for critically ill patients.
  • Evaluate the progress of critically ill patients and redesign regimens and monitoring plans.
  • Appreciate leadership and practice management skills in the area of critical care.
  • Exposure to sub-specialty in intensive care unit.

Outline

  • Participate in daily ward rounds with the ICU multidisciplinary team.
  • Understand the management of critically ill patients through direct patient care observation at ward round, case based and topic discussions.
  • Be familiar with critical care-related guidelines to design and recommend evidence-based pharmaceutical care plans for patients.
  • Identify medication related problems and design evidence-based regimen and monitoring plans to achieve therapeutic goals on assigned patients.
  • Conduct medication review daily and identify any medication related problems pertaining to treatment efficacy, adverse events and administration.
  • Review and redesign monitoring and treatment plan based on new drug-related issues identified.
  • Review and obtain primary literature, where evidence is lacking, to direct patient care.

Attachment Fees

1. Training Fee (5-day work week) depending on the nature of attachment

  • At least SGD $763.00* per applicant per week

2. Administrative Fee Upon Acceptance (non-refundable)

  • Singaporeans: SGD $163.50*
  • Non-Singaporeans & Overseas Applicants: SGD $261.60*

3. Miscellaneous Fees for Overseas Applicants (Non-Singaporeans) [non-refundable]

a. Training Employment Pass (TEP)

  • One time application fee: SGD $105
  • Issuance Fee: SGD $225

b. Multiple Journey visa (if applicable): SGD $30
