Criteria

Only for organisation sponsored practising / registered Radiographers using Ultrasound (Beginners may also apply).

Note: Each request is subject to Department's review and approval

Objective

To provide participants with basic ultrasound knowledge and core competency skills in performing the abdomen, pelvis and small parts examinations.

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to:

• Understand the basic physics involved in ultrasound
• Recognise common artefacts in ultrasound imaging
• Observe the use of basic protocols for scanning various body parts/ regions and in various clinical conditions
• Recognise sonographic appearances of common pathologies
• Appreciate ultrasound images of high diagnostic value
• Appreciate the importance of patient communication skills

Attachment Fees

1. Training Fee (5-day work week) depending on the nature of attachment

• At least SGD $654.00* per applicant per week

2. Administrative Fee Upon Acceptance (non-refundable)

• Singaporeans: SGD $163.50*
• Non-Singaporeans & Overseas Applicants: SGD $261.60*

3. Miscellaneous Fees for Overseas Applicants (Non-Singaporeans) [non-refundable]

a. Training Employment Pass (TEP)

• One time application fee: SGD $105
• Issuance Fee: SGD $225

b. Multiple Journey visa (if applicable): SGD $30

*Inclusive of 9% GST
