Application Timeline

For overseas applicants:

A full set of required documents to be submitted at least 3 months before the attachment start date.

2 - 4 weeks

Criteria

Only for organisation sponsored practising / registered Occupational Therapists

Note: Each request is subject to Department's review and approval

Objective

To observe and understand rehabilitation principles in the Unit.

Outline

• Introduction to roles of rehabilitation team members
• Understand the assessment and referral processes for patients for home therapy
• Attend relevant case conferences, journal discussions, support groups, etc.
• Observe patients in therapy in the Rehabilitation Unit of the hospital
• Observe patients in home therapy

Methodology

• Case discussion with therapists
• Clinical observation
• Observe group therapy sessions
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings to understands about patient care

Attachment Fees

1. Training Fee (5-day work week) depending on the nature of attachment

• At least SGD $654.00* per applicant per week

2. Administrative Fee Upon Acceptance (non-refundable)

• Singaporeans: SGD $163.50*
• Non-Singaporeans & Overseas Applicants: SGD $261.60*

3. Miscellaneous Fees for Overseas Applicants (Non-Singaporeans) [non-refundable]

a. Training Employment Pass (TEP)

• One time application fee: SGD $105
• Issuance Fee: SGD $225

b. Multiple Journey visa (if applicable): SGD $30

*Inclusive of 9% GST
