Emergency Department Attendance Fees


A&E Fee comprises of :
  • Doctor's consultation, Nursing care & treatment
  • Basic Investigation (eg. urine test, blood sugar test, ECG)
  • Basic treatment (eg. plaster cast, simple suturing & wound dressing)
  • Standard medication (max. one week's supply upon discharge)

  3. For non-resident & private patients, fees quoted are inclusive of prevailing GST. For subsidised patients , GST is absorbed by Government.

Payment

You may settle your bill by cash, credit cards, NETS or personal cheques (for patients of Specialist Outpatient Clinics, you may choose to use Service Express, to settle your bills or get follow-up appointments).

Receipts are issued for all payments. Please check the receipts issued and report any inaccuracies to the staff concerned immediately.

Medisave

Medisave can be used only for the following approved outpatient treatments:

  • Radiotherapy
  • Chemotherapy
  • Assisted Conception Procedure (ACP) - up to a maximum of $15,000 per couple per lifetime. Please note that there is a cycle limit depending on the ACP cycle number. A patient can use her own or her spouse’s Medisave
  • Hepatitis B vaccination for babies delivered at the hospital, excluding tests done in connection with the vaccination
  • Dialysis including Haemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Dialysis. A patient can only use his/her own Medisave for these outpatient treatments
  • *Chronic Diseases Management Programme (CDMP) - Diabetes, Hypertension, Lipid Disorders, Stroke, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Schizophrenia, Major Depression, Bipolar Disorders, Dementia, Osteoarthritis, Anxiety, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, Parkinson’s Disease, Nephrosis/Nephritis, Epilepsy, Osteoporosis, Psoriasis or Rheumatoid Arthritis
Frequently Asked Questions on Medisave

The withdrawal limit for selected outpatient treatment procedures are as follows:

Assisted Conception Procedure (ACP) S$6,000 for the first withdrawal,
S$5,000 for the second withdrawal, and S$4,000 for the third and subsequent withdrawal.
These Medisave withdrawal limits will apply for the treatment cycles that start on or after 1 August 2004.
Dialysis Treatment S$450 per month per patient.
Radiotherapy S$80 per treatment, no annual limit.
Chemotherapy S$300 (weekly), S$1200 (monthly), no annual limit.
Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP)* A patient will have to pay 15% of the total bill.  The annual withdrawal limit for each Medisave account is $400.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

$100 per treatment

MRI, CT scans and diagnostic related to neoplasm treatment - Effective 1 April 2008.

$600 per patient per year
