About Us

The Pain Management Centre (PMC) is the first and largest specialised Pain unit in Singapore. This one-stop centre (consult rooms, procedures suite and recovery room in a single premise) is staffed by a team of 19 internationally trained Pain Specialists, dedicated pain nurses, physiotherapists, psychiatrists and psychologists and we work closely with other medical specialties to assist patients with various pain conditions. PMC assists patients to reduce pain burden, restore function and manage chronic pain using a multi-pronged approach by addressing medical, physical and psychological aspects of pain. 

PMC is also the only training unit in South East Asia accredited by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Faculty of Pain Medicine to provide approved training for Pain Medicine.

Clinical Services

Some of the common pain syndromes we treat include neck and back pain, herniated discs, joints pain, myofascial pain, postherpetic neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, headaches, orofacial pain, chronic post-surgical or post-traumatic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, painful diabetic neuropathy and cancer pain. 

Other than treatment with medications, physical and psychological therapies, we offer a comprehensive range of minimally invasive interventions for patients with chronic pain. Our pain specialists perform common procedures such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks and trigger point injections. We are also familiar with advanced interventions such as radiofrequency ablation, neurostimulation as well as intrathecal drug delivery system. 

PMC performs over 600 procedures annually.
