With the implementation of safe management measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that patients are able to use video conferencing to consult their doctors whenever possible. At Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Telehealth services are fast growing. To make sure that the elderly and less tech-savvy among us are not left behind, support staff and community nurses in the neighbourhood have been roped in to explain the intricacies of teleconferencing. To address these changing needs, stroke care teams at SGH and the National Neuroscience Institute also played a part in developing a new mobile app for stroke survivors to turn to for support and information on their rehabilitation journey.
