Project Wire Up

Come and help teach seniors digital literacy skills! All it takes is a willing heart and the ability to operate a smartphone!

With COVID-19 and social distancing, many elderly are socially isolated with no family to help them with their daily activities.

Partnering with NTUC Health, Montfort Care and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Project Wire Up aims to Equip seniors with phones, Train them how to use it, and Connect them to their communities.

Who can Volunteer?

To volunteer, you must fulfil ALL the criteria below:

If you work in a patient-facing healthcare institution, you must be working from home/community-facing
Fully vaccinated
Below 60 years old
Able to use a smart phone

What do I have to do?

Attend a training session by the programme coordinator(s)
Teach a beneficiary how to use a smartphone and help them to make social connections through the use of phone apps
Commitment: 6 one-hour training sessions for seniors over a period of 3 months (averages to a fortnightly basis). This can be done after working hours or during the weekend, as long as the beneficiary agrees to the meeting time.
Location: Beneficiary’s home
