Training Objectives/Goals

On completion of the program, fellows are expected to be able to:

  1. Insert, exchange and remove tunneled and non-tunneled dialysis catheter independently
  2. Perform native and transplant kidney biopsy independently
  3. Perform a diagnostic fistulogram and graftogram of arteriovenous access independently
  4. Perform angioplasty, thrombolysis, stent placement, banding procedure and coil placement when in arteriovenous fistula when clinically indicated independently with acceptable outcomes.
  5. Perform percutaneous arteriovenous fistula creation
  6. Perform duplex ultrasonography for vein mapping and surveillance of arteriovenous access

Admission Criteria

  • Possess valid practicing license with the Singapore Medical Council
  • Registered under the Register of Specialists with Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) in Renal Medicine
