Patients with chronic lung diseases can be broadly categorised into obstructive and restrictive dysfunction based on spirometry parameters. Besides respiratory dysfunctions, these patients often develop secondary muscular and psychosocial dysfunctions. This course aims to equip physiotherapists with necessary skills to manage the complex cardiopulmonary problems in patients with chronic lung diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic suppurative lung diseases, asthma and interstitial lung disease (ILD).
