CPE Lecture: Interprofessional Collaboration in Geriatrics: Advancing Health for Older Adults

Interprofessional teams have gained substantial attention for their potential to generate creative solutions to complex problems in health care and to improving the quality and effectiveness of care in older adults. Interdisciplinary collaboration is particularly salient in the field of geriatrics.

This session, is designed to provide an overview of select geriatric interprofessional initiatives in the United States, discuss the driving and restraining forces for interprofessional practice, education and research and discuss vital directions necessary to assist in preparing for better health and healthcare for an aging population.
