The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides a wide range of surgical services ranging from dentoalveolar surgery to orthognathic surgery and the management of jaw cysts and tumours. The Department also handles patients with salivary gland and mucosal diseases as well as patients with facial pain and temporo-mandibular joint problems.
Within the Centre's multidisciplinary set up, the Department is an active participant in the implant and maxillofacial prosthodontics team and in the dentofacial deformity management team. The department collaborates closely with oncologic surgeons on the Outram campus and is an active participant in the multi-disciplinary management of head and neck tumours and sleep disorders.
