HYPERSENSITIVITY PNEUMONITIS IGG ANTIBODIES

Synonym(s):

​Specific IgG, Fungal IgG, Thermophilic actinomycetes IgG, Aspergillus fumigatus IgG, Stachybotrys atra IgG, Candida albicans IgG, Aureobasidium pullulans IgG, Bird proteins IgG

Description

​Each test has to be ordered separately:

  1. Fungal Profile (PCMA) IgG: for detection of specific IgG antibodies to Penicillium chrysogenum, Cladosporium herbarum (Homodendrum), Mucor racemosus and Alternaria alternata
  2. Thermophilic actinomycetes IgG Panel: for detection of specific IgG antibodies to Micropolyspora faeni (aka Saccharopolyspora rectivirgula) and Laceyella sacchari.
  3. Aspergillus fumigatus IgG: the test may be used as an adjunct to the diagnosis of hypersensitivity pneumonitis and chronic pulmonary aspergillosis due to Aspergillus fumigatus. However it is not suitable for the laboratory diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis.
  4. Stachybotrys atra IgG
  5. Candida albicans IgG: the test may be used as an adjunct to the diagnosis of hypersensitivity pneumonitis. However, it is not suitable for the laboratory diagnosis of invasive candidiasis.
  6. Aureobasidium pullulans IgG
  7. Bird Proteins IgG Panel:
  • Budgerigar mix (Budgerigar serum proteins, feathers and droppings)
  • Pigeon mix (Pigeon serum proteins, feathers and droppings)
  • Parrot mix (Parrot serum proteins, feathers and droppings)
