With
an ageing population, Singapore needs to find a better method to
prevent and manage cardiovascular diseases. Finance Minister Heng Swee
Keat attended the NHCS “Heart to Heart” charity dinner on 5 Oct and shared that the NHCS is currently building
a biobank to look into the cardiovascular health of Asians. In
Singapore, cardiovascular disease is the largest contributor to the
burden of disease and causes one in every four deaths.
