“I’m proud to be part of CGH’s Medical Emergency Team (MET), which provides early intervention in an emergency situation to prevent the patient’s condition from deteriorating. This initiative contributed to a significant drop in the number of inpatients who required resuscitation as well as unplanned ICU admissions.
Everyone in the healthcare team is empowered to call the MET if they think the patient needs our service and we respond to every call. CGH is the first hospital in Singapore to run this full-fledged lifesaving service round the clock.
