Support Breast Cancer Research in SGH

pathology.JPG

Every minute at least one woman dies of breast cancer in the world. About 40% of women with breast cancer live in Asia. Yet, most of the published studies about breast cancer are conducted on Western patients today. There are no existing comparable breast diseases research programmes that undertake the study of breast diseases in the 3 Asian ethnic groups: Chinese, Malay and Indian. In SGH, our research focus in breast diseases has led to significant healthcare breakthroughs including breast cancer and fibroepithelial lesions. More can be done.

For this October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are honoured to partner Estee Lauder Companies in this fight against breast cancer.
