Edward Jacob Pathology Academic Fund

In honour of the late Dr Edward Jacob, the endowed Edward Jacob Pathology Academic Fund continues his passion to nurture the younger generation of clinicians. The awards are designated for deserving medical students or allied health professionals pursuing doctoral programmes in clinical biochemistry.

 

Foo Keong Tatt Professorship

Professor Foo Keong Tatt has always been regarded as the Father of Urology in Singapore and widely recognised for his pioneering work and leadership. He is the epitome of a passionate educator, dedicated researcher and thought leader. Inspired former students and grateful patients have come together to establish the endowed Professor Foo Keong Tatt Professorship which will enable us to achieve peaks of excellence in research, education and practice, strengthening Singapore’s position as a thought-leader in Urology globally.  

 

Gilbert Chiang Bursary

The endowed Gilbert Chiang Bursary recognises the late Associate Professor Gilbert Chiang’s passion in education and will nurture generations of deserving medical students. The bursary awards will provide financial assistance for their educational needs at local medical schools.

 

Goh Hak Su Professorship

Award winning Prof Goh Hak Su established the Department of Colorectal Surgery in Singapore General Hospital, the first such department in Singapore and the ASEAN region in 1998. The Goh Hak Su Professorship continues his legacy and aims to propagate Excellent Surgery, Relevant Research and Solid Training in Colorectal Surgery in Singapore.

 

Kathy Goh Professorship

Every 15 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer1. Established in loving memory of Mrs Kathy Goh, the Kathy Goh Professorship is the first professorship in Pathology Academic Clinical Programme. The endowed professorship will support long-term research in breast diseases leading to better survival for patients in Singapore and Asia.

Minnie Pang Academic Fund

In fond memory of the late Dr Minnie Pang, students, colleagues, friends and family established the endowed Minnie Pang Academic Fund to continue her legacy of mentoring leaders in the field of pathology and to raise awareness of this specialty.

 

Seah Cheng Siang Professorship

Professor Seah Cheng Siang (1922-1990) was a master clinician, a pioneer in advancing clinical excellence and medical education in Singapore. The Seah Cheng Siang Professorship, established by his former students, colleagues and family, honours and celebrates his life and contributions in the strong foundation of Medicine and public healthcare in Singapore. The professorship promotes clinical excellence by fostering the highest standards of patient care with a dedication to the art of medicine, professionalism, education and research. Professor Fong Kok Yong, an accomplished rheumatologist and stellar leader in pioneering notable academic initiatives, is the inaugural Seah Cheng Siang Professor.

 

Tan Kim Ping Academic Fund

The endowed Tan Kim Ping Academic Fund honours Dr Tan’s vision, dedication and leadership in shaping the radiological sciences in Singapore. The fund aims to provide world-class patient care, train the best and brightest radiologists to serve future generations, and to discover new imaging technologies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
