ANSTO’s Australian synchrotron welcomes you to the 2023 New User Symposium. This year’s NUS will be held online on the 30th and 31st October 2023.
The event is tailored to inform novice users about the research capabilities of the Australian Synchrotron and introduce the BRIGHT beamlines to the user community. It has been timed to allow online attendance from interested Users from time zones from Singapore to New Zealand.
Techniques highlighted include:
• Diffraction
• Protein Crystallography and Structural Biology
• Microscopy: Infrared, THz/Far-Infrared, X-ray fluorescence
• Spectroscopy
• X-Ray Imaging
• Small Angle X-Ray Scattering
These methods encompass a huge range of research areas: Biosciences and Health, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Physics, Advanced Materials, Agriculture and Food Processing, Engineering and Manufacturing, Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, Energy and Sustainability Science.
As well as talks from staff, there will be Q and A sessions to allow users to discuss practical aspects of proposal submissions and experimental design.
There will also be sessions dedicated to accessing the facility, the support laboratories and data access available for users. There will also be opportunities to engage with AINSE.
