About

Dr. Yam was trained in Anaesthesia at Northwick Park, Charing Cross and Harefield Hospitals in London. Subsequently undertook lectureship in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia at the University of Liverpool, UK. He has completed advanced specialist training in Liverpool hospitals including Alder Hey Children’s hospital and undertook sabbatical at the National University Hospital. He has joined SGH since 1995. 

Dr. Yam's previous interests include cardiothoracic anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, clinical research, strategic management and evidence based medicine, Currently, he is focusing on ENT, colorectal anaesthesia and financial management.
