Research Associate/Fellow
A Research Associate/ Fellow's main task is to collaborate with Principal Investigators in their research projects and provide assistance within the Department in the operation and maintenance of core research equipment and facilities. You are also expected to provide scientific advice on research methodology and techniques to other researchers in the hospital.
You will create project timeline and schedules, assign individual responsibilities, liaise with other departments and external parties. You will also have to ensure compliance with study protocols & procedures, manage resources, oversee maintenance of proper documentation, data collection and analysis.
Requirements
Master's Degree or PhD in relevant Science subjects.
Prior working experience in research laboratories would be an advantage.
Competent in MS Office and familiar with database and/or statistical software would be an advantage

Research Technologist/Officer
As a SGH Research Technologist/ Officer, you are expected to assist Principal Investigators, and/or Research Scientists in their research projects and provide necessary assistance within the Department in the operation and maintenance of core research equipment and facilities.
You will also be required to be familiar with research protocols, carry out experiments and optimise conditions and experiments. You will prepare posters for submission to local and international conferences, sourcing for reagents and consumables and raise appropriate request for purchases and ensure compliance to all safety and legal requirements.
Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in relevant Science subjects
Prior working experience in research laboratories would be an advantage.
Career Prospect
Clinical Research Coordinator
A Clinical Research Coordinator's main task is to act as liaison person between subjects and other members of the research team. You will obtain relevant information from interviews and case note reviews, explain the aims and plan of the project in layman terms to patient subjects. You are also required to address questions and concerns of subjects, and arrange for their informed consent. You will plan, organise and coordinate the workflow of study projects.
You will assist the Principal Investigators (PI) in monitoring the subjects’ well-being, compile relevant patient data and maintain proper documentation. You will be responsible for making recommendations to improve on the maintenance of the database for easy retrieval of records. You will ensure the data captured is complete and gives a good representation on the area of interest.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Science/Nursing or Diploma in Health Science/Nursing with relevant academic certification with at least 3 years’ clinical research experience
Prior relevant experience would be an advantage
Knowledge of MS Office software
Bilingual and/or knowledge of local dialects desired
