A/Professor Chaminda Jaya Seneviratne is an internationally renowned Oral Microbiologist. He is a Principal Investigator affiliated to the National Dental Centre Singapore, Oral Health ACP Duke NUS, leading the Singapore Oral Microbiomics Initiative (SOMI). He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong with Outstanding Research Postgraduate Award. A/Prof. Seneviratne’s research work on oral biofilms and oral microbiome have received number of prestigious awards from International Association for Dental Research (IADR). His work has been funded by National Medical Research Council (NMRC) and international funding agencies. Dr. Seneviratne holds several leadership positions in the IADR committees and serves in the Editorial Board of Critical Reviews in Microbiology. His major research interests include microbiome modulation therapy and development of anti-biofilm agents against oral and systemic diseases.
