Accreditation

Our role is to assist the various departments within the Hospital in ensuring that their training programmes meet the specific training requirements mandated by the various specialist bodies in the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and Graduate School of Medical Studies.

We are the first local hospital to have an in-house accreditation programme. Since 1996, we have accredited 18 SGH clinical departments on their suitability as training departments. Re-certification is planned on a 5-year cycle.

The National Accreditation Board has currently agreed to accept those departments accredited by PGMI.
