Objectives
This programme aims to prepare participants with up-to-date techniques of theatre nursing skills for gynaecological laparoscopic procedures, and the management of an obstetric and gynaecological operating theatre.
Content
- Setting up and management of an obstetric and gynaecological operating room
- Nurse's role in preparation, use and maintenance of laparoscopic equipment and instrumentation
- Understanding of patient safety aspects and prevention of hazards
- Post-operative nursing care for patients requiring gynaecological laparoscopic surgery

- Registered nurses with 2 years of post-registration experience (minimum)
- Currently working in the operating theatres
