Nursing Administration

The Department of Nursing is responsible for the management, supervision and provision of nursing service in the hospital. The Department is headed by the Director, Nursing and assisted by Deputy and Assistant Directors. Over the years, the administrative arm of the nursing services had undergone some reorganisation to refine its overall management approach.

The Patient Care Services are responsible for the development of clinical services, care delivery and patient satisfaction. To complement it is the Professional Affairs arm which is responsible for professional standards, policies and practices, quality management, research and training and development. This consolidation of professional responsibilities allows for more focus on training and research to fulfil the increasingly differentiated and complex roles nurses have to understand.
