Participants will gain experience in nursing critically-ill patients in the medical intensive care unit.
Content
- Pathophysiology related to medical conditions requiring critical care
- Use and care of critical care equipment and machine
- Specific nursing care for critically ill patients with medical conditions
- Physical and psychosocial support to patients and their family members
- Overview of the diagnostic investigative procedures
Preferred Participants
- Registered nurses with at least 3-year post-registration experience and knowledge and clinical exposure to ventilators and cardiac monitors
- Currently working in the medical intensive care unit
