The Department of Emergency Medicine is a 24-hour one stop centre for emergencies including critical emergencies, resuscitations and ambulant minor emergencies. The Department offers advisory services: Maritime Radiomedical Services, Toxicological Advisory Service, Cardiac Life Support, Defibrillation and first-aid training and emergency preparedness.
All patients are triaged on arrival for the appropriate level of care to be instituted and managed. Patients are then admitted or transferred to the appropriate institution / ward for further management.
