Objectives

To equip nurses with the essential knowledte, skills and experience to provide safe, holistic and quality care to patients requiring emergency, critical care and/or burns management during national mass casualty incidents.

    • Roles of Traige Nurse
    • Triage guidelines on trauma patients
    • Nursing skills on triage of trauma and non-triage patients
    • Chain os Survival - management of cardiac emergencies
    • Airway and Circulatory Management
    • Organisation of resuscitation
    • Paediatric resuscitation
  • Critical Care Nursing Module:
    • Nursing management of patient with acute respiratory failure, myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock
    • Therapeutic modalities in treatment of patients with acute respiratory and cardiovasuclar dysfunction
    • Nursing management of patients with mechanical ventilation and suctioning
  • Burns Nursing Module
    • Nursing management of patient with burns
    • Roles and responsibilities in burns mass disaster
    • Infection control in ICU and burns centre
