Welcome Message

The Singapore General Hospital in conjunction with the Singapore Sleep Society is pleased to invite you to the Singapore Sleep Symposium 2012. Mark your calendars from 13 - 14th October for an exciting and comprehensive program designed to provide you with a concise update on the latest developments in sleep medicine. There will be didactic lectures as well as interactive workshops designed to allow participants hands-on practical experience in polysomnography as well as continuous positive airway pressure.

We have a distinguished faculty lined up which includes both local and eminent overseas speakers. We are particularly excited to welcome Professor Christian Gulleminault of Stanford University to come and share his expertise with us. Professor Guilleminault is one of the founding fathers of sleep medicine, and in his illustrious and multifaceted career he has shaped the understanding and management of virtually every domain of sleep medicine, from narcolepsy to Obstructive sleep apnea. To make things even more exciting, we are also privileged to have Professor Martyn Partridge of Imperial College, London, and also Vice-dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine who will be exchanging views with Professor Guilleminault in a pro-con debate about American vs continental standards for diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our distinguished faculty and the organizing committee for all their time and invaluable contributions. We would also like to thank all sponsors for their generous contributions. We have no doubt that this will be an exciting, memorable and fruitful meeting for all.
