The Departments of Pathology and Haematology together have a staff strength of more than 400 personnel. Our team of professional, technical and support staff work towards our common goals of providing prompt, accurate, reliable, effective and high quality laboratory service.
Professional Staff
Our professional staff of about 60 medical doctors and Scientific Officers are well qualified and experienced. They provide medical, scientific and technical support and are available to offer consultative services pertaining to laboratory diagnosis, monitoring and management of patients and other related subjects in their field of specialisation.

Technical Staff
Our technical staff of more than 260 medical and laboratory technologists provide technical support in diagnostic and analytical work in the various laboratories. They also assist in the research and developmental programmes and quality assurance schemes.
Support Staff
Our support staff, consisting of about 90 administrative and ancillary personnel provide efficient support services which are essential for the effective running of the department.
