SGH bags 3 at AHMA 2011 Awards

On 8 Sep 2011, SGH won the following at the 10th Asian Hospital Management Awards 2011 (AHMA):

Outstanding Project Award in Human Resource Development Project

Out of more than 300 entries from over 80 hospitals, SGH won the Most Outstanding Project Award for Building BRIDGES, Strengthening Ties, which is a re-orientation programme for staff who have been with SGH for 10 years or more. The project held four sessions for over 120 staff since its launch in April 2010. BRIDGES (Bond, Rekindle, Inspire, Dedicate, Gratify, Energise & Shine) aims to help staff trace SGH's progress, strengthen ties between staff of various departments and experience the importance of adapting to changes so as to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Activities include card games and making plasticine moulds.

10th Year Stalwart

SGH is one of 10 hospitals in the region who have greatly supported Hospital Management Asia (HMA) for the past years.

Special Recognition for a Decade of Achievement

This award recognises the top three hospitals that have won the most awards in the past decade. SGH - with nine Winners and 12 Excellence Awards - eclipsed more than 300 hospitals in awards tally.

The AHMA recognises and honours hospitals in Asia that implement best hospital practice. It is the accepted hospital management awards program for the Asia Pacific region. Awards are given to hospitals that implemented or enhanced outstanding innovative projects, programs and best practices. This year, 315 entries from 84 hospitals from 11 countries competed for awards in nine categories.
