Head, Department of Colorectal Surgery
A/Prof Tang Choong Leong of Department of Colorectal Surgery, will assume the appointment of Head, Colorectal Surgery with effect from 1 April 2011.
A/Prof Tang graduated with a MBBS from Singapore and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He holds appointments with both NUS YLL School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine. A/Prof Tang has been with the Department since 1993. He was also the President of the Singapore Society of Colorectal Surgeons and reviewer of several local and overseas journals.
Head, Department of Urology
Dr Ng Lay Guat, Senior Consultant, joined the Department of Urology since 1996. She graduated with an MBBS from Singapore and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
An active proponent of quality improvement, she is well positioned to take the SGH's Department of Urology to greater heights.
