"The treatment I got at the hospital was first class."
MR JAMES CLIFFORD: "On Sept 1, I was on my way from Scotland to Brisbane to visit family, with my usual stopover at the Excelsior Hotel in Coleman Street. Unfortunately, I was taken ill and ended up in Singapore General Hospital, where I was found to have an infection of the gall bladder.
To make matters worse, I then had a heart attack. The treatment I got at the hospital was first class, with all of the staff working hard to help me recover; I can't thank them enough. Thanks also to the Excelsior Hotel staff who managed to accommodate my family when they came over from Brisbane and found a room for me when I came out of the hospital, even though it was just a few days before the Singapore Grand Prix. I am now back home again in Scotland, slowly getting better each day and hopefully getting strong enough to visit Singapore again, maybe next year."
