Book to help transplant patients

04 Apr 2010

LEARN about stem cell transplants while helping needy patients who are waiting for one.

Singapore General Hospital's (SGH) book, Embracing Hope: Chronicles of Blood Stem Cell Transplants is available at Kinokuniya, the NUS Co-opt bookstores and SGH at $19.90.

A compilation of first-hand accounts by patients who have received such transplants for leukaemia and bone marrow diseases, and insights from caregivers and health-care providers, the stories are likely to inspire other patients and caregivers.

Proceeds from the book will go towards needy patients undergoing stem cell transplants and to fund transplant-related education and research programmes in SGH.
