The Pain Management Centre at Singapore General Hospital was established in October 2007. It is the first and largest referral centre in Singapore for patients with chronic, disabling pain disorders. It is a one-stop centre with specialist outpatient clinics, acupuncture services, procedure room with X-ray facilities and recovery room for interventional pain treatment.

- When faced with an urgent situation or doubt, our patients will find that help is only a phone call away and one of our team members will be able to attend to the problem
- The pain team works closely and conducts multidisciplinary meetings with other surgical and medical specialties to formulate individualised treatment plans for patients
- Option is available to use the expertise of a trained acupuncturist for pain management at our centre
- Patient education programmes in pain management
- Regular group therapy sessions (cognitive-behavioural therapy) conducted by a team of pain specialists, physiotherapists and psychologists
