Adult Reconstructive Service

We provide customized programmes aimed at improving quality of life for patients suffering from arthritis or impaired function related to hip, knee, foot, ankle, shoulder or elbow, paying specific attention to primary joint replacement, osteo tomies, as well as revision joint surgery. We also run a Hip and Knee Degenerative Arthritis Clinic adopting the most modern and cutting-edge technology.

Spinal Care Service
We provide surgical and non-surgical care for a wide variety of spinal conditions. These include degenerative conditions, traumatic spine injuries, deformities, prolapse of intervertebral discs and cancer of the spine. Our extremely skilled surgeons from this service also take part in the National Scoliosis Screening Programme for school children.

Orthopaedic Trauma Service

This service supports the hospital's "Level 1" Trauma Centre by offering acute comprehensive orthopaedic trauma care. The Orthopaedic Trauma Service provides support services to patients with soft tissue injuries, complicated fractures, poly trauma, pelvic fractures, as well as orthopaedic care to patients with multiple end-organ failure. This service complements other clinical departments in SGH, making "Level 1" Trauma Centre a true full-service centre. Our physiotherapists and occupational therapists also help to ensure shorter hospitalisation and faster recovery post trauma.

Sports Injury Service
Our Sports Injury Service manages injuries sustained in sporting activities with an emphasis in keyhole surgery for injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, and ankle. Our surgeons, with their vast experience, also provide consultancy services to schools, the Singapore Armed Forces and national athletes.
