Dr Chan was trained in neurosurgery both locally and in the United Kingdom. He was the Head of department of Neurosurgery at the Singapore General Hospital from 1997 to 2002. Dr Chan is the current deputy director of NNI and his interests lies in skull base surgery and neuro-oncology.
