RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
Research in Nuclear Medicine
Research in the department focuses mainly on clinical studies, with the overall aims of improving clinical care and management of patients.
 
 
(1) Randomised trial of adjuvant hepatic intra-arterial iodine-131-lipoidal following curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma.

(2) An open label, phase IIa, safety study of the active implantable (radiological) medical device 32P BioSiliconTM, administered intratumourally to patients with advanced, unresectable pancreatic cancer, in addition to standard intravenous gemcitabine chemotherapy.
