As a tertiary acute hospital and national referral centre, SGH offers a comprehensive range of 28 clinical specialties. A number of specialties such as Plastic Surgery and Burns, Renal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology and Haematology have been established as national referral centres, meaning that these services are either not replicated in other public hospitals, or are more developed in terms of technology, medical expertise and range of services.
SGH also has a comprehensive range of allied health support services in Clinical Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Social Services and Speech Therapy. Our nursing and allied health staff work hand-in-hand with the clinical departments to provide team-based, multi-disciplinary care.
