| Medisave can be used only for the following approved outpatient treatments: |
- Radiotherapy
- Chemotherapy
- Assisted Conception Procedure (ACP) - up to a maximum of three withdrawals. A patient can use her own or her spouse's Medisave
- Hepatitis B vaccination for babies delivered at the hospital, excluding tests done in connection with the vaccination
- Dialysis including Haemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Dialysis. A patient can only use his/her own Medisave for these outpatient treatments
- Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Blood Cholesterol and Stroke

| The withdrawal limit for selected outpatient treatment procedures are as follows: |
| Assisted Conception Procedure (ACP) |
S$6,000 for the first withdrawal, S$5,000 for the second withdrawal, and S$4,000 for the third withdrawal. These Medisave withdrawal limits will apply for the treatment cycles that start on or after 1 August 2004. |
| Dialysis Treatment |
S$450 per month per patient. |
| Radiotherapy |
S$80 per treatment, no annual limit. |
| Chemotherapy |
S$300 (weekly), S$1200 (monthly), no annual limit. |
| Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Blood Cholesterol & Stroke |
A patient will have to pay the first $30 of each bill and 15% of the balance. The remainder of the bill will be paid from Medisave. The annual withdrawal limit for each Medisave account is $300. |
