| The fast track SOC appointment system enables GPs to refer the most urgent cases to the specialist outpatient clinics for consultation and evaluation. Patients with less urgent conditions should continue to be referred to the SOC using the normal referral channel.
The fast track SOC appointment system is straightforward - GPs need only make a call to the hospital to inform us of the patient's diagnosis and the department to be referred to. Our staff will then arrange for an early appointment. This appointment system applies only to the unsubsidised SOC, meaning that patients referred will have to pay the full outpatient rates.
Patients should then come for their appointment together with the referral letter. GPs will receive replies from our specialists regarding patients' condition and progress.
