The GP Empowerment Programme (GPEP) is an initiative of Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), the parent company of SGH. It aims to bring about closer integration and co-operation between GPs and all medical institutions in SingHealth.
By empowering and engaging GPs as our partners in healthcare, the closer professional ties which can be forged will ensure seamless patient care and flow of medical information between GPs and hospitals. Ultimately, it is our patients who benefit.
GPs who wish to participate in the GP Empowerment Programme can register and submit their application to the GPEP Office. The GPEP Office will process your application and inform you in due course. You will be able to participate in GPEP initiatives as soon as you receive confirmation of your affiliation with SingHealth.

This programme is for SingHealth affiliated GPs to directly admit patients to Singapore General Hospital and Changi General Hospital for inpatient management. The direct ward referral programme ensures patients move from the GP clinics to the admission office and into the wards in the shortest possible time. This will also reduce cost and waiting time for patients requiring inpatient treatment.
SGH provides complimentary parking for GPs visiting their patients admitted at SGH under the Direct Ward Referral System. GPs can redeem their complimentary parking at the Security Office located at Block 6 Level 1. | |
