Continuing medical education (CME) plays an important role in keeping medical professionals current with changes in medicine generally and in areas relevant to their specialty.
To this end, PGMI collaborates with the clinical departments in organising CME programmes throughout the year. These programmes include case conferences and hospital-wide clinical meetings, GP education, clinical skills training, Telemedicine , conferences and symposia. CME activities are listed in the monthly CME calendar. The SGH Proceedings, the hospital’s peer reviewed scientific journal, is published thrice yearly.
In the area of continuing professional development, PGMI organises programmes ranging from healthcare management development, medical ethics to medical pedagogy. These can be collaborative efforts with established tertiary institutions.
To support our CME programmes, we have four purpose-bulit lecture rooms well-equipped with audio-visual and Telemedicine capabilities and an Education Resource Centre.
