DYSPHAGIA WORKSHOP FOR NURSES (IN-COMPANY / ONSITE)


Objective(s)

• To educate and train nurses to be able to identify patients with swallowing difficulties
 
• To provide an overview of management of swallowing disorders and equip nurses and healthcare assistants with hands-on experience in management of dysphagic patients

• Disordered swallowing
• Safe feeding 
• Use of Ax form
• Recommendations
• Identifying dysphagia
• Overview of assessments
• Diet consistencies and use of thickeners
• Follow-up exercises
• Meal time supervision
