To build participants’ clinical reasoning skills for integrating physiotherapy knowledge with clinical applications
The participants will develop advanced knowledge and skills in:
• Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
• Cardiopulmonary physiotherapy
• Neurology physiotherapy
• Applying physiotherapy assessment within appropriate time frame;
• Applying the fundamentals of clinical reasoning
• Developing effective physiotherapy treatment plan in relation to disease and pathology
• Treating, evaluating and progressing safely physiotherapy interventions
• Demonstrating competent handling skills, safety and professionalism when treating patients
• Carrying out proper and systematic documentation for consistent communication with patients and among healthcare professionals
• Being able to apply basic research concepts and information literacy skills in the practice of evidence based medicine (EBM)
Lectures, tutorials, case studies and clinical practice, post-course evaluations
• Graduate with professional qualifications to practice as a physiotherapist in the country of origin/training
• Member of the physiotherapy association in the country of origin / training
• At least 3 years of work experience in the field of physiotherapy
• Successful complete the SGH-PGAHI Advanced Certificate in Physiotherapy Practice
• Fulfil any one of the following minimum English language requirements:
- IELTS 5 with a 5 in speaking and writing
- TOEFL (internet based) 90
- TOEFL (Computer based) 213
- TOEFL (paper) 550
